Image of Kali
Coming soon

As a child, my mother always encouraged me to explore and learn about all religions and to respect them. I was always inspired by Hindu artwork and how Gods had been depicted within imagery. After doing reserach on the Goddess Kali, I found that she was often mis-represented in the west. Frequently said to be associated with death, sexuality and violence. Kali is a goddess of death but she brings the death of the ego as the illusory self-centered view of reality. Even though I am not Hindu, I am heavily inspired by the personal inner journey Kali represents.

We live in an ego driven society where 'likes' and follows' are being mistaken for self value and worth. I wanted to design a necklace that would serve as a reminder to dance to the beat of your own drum.
Inpired by Kali, this wearable art represents courage and determination to look within and weed out anything that is not authentic, allowing space for genuine love and self worth. She is a powerful force to be reckoned with and an unstoppable warrior.
